have the ability to block certain ABers? Easy to say ignor them or scroll past but you have to read the post to know whether it is genuine or not, so I would prefer not to see any posts from certain people because they are almost certainly trolling imho.
Same as facebook - you can block people so you never see anything they post. What a waste of life if you have to read a post to see who it is from and what it says before you realise it is someone you really don't want to hear from. I do manage to ignore one ABer by not answering their ridiculous statements and obsession with a certain person but the last few days the trolls have been out in force. Ok fine I know its not an airport but I will soon be announcing my departure.
I don’t think the site would collapse if we had the ability to block other posters. I don’t think many would actually be blocked. Most people are curious to know what others are saying - even if they don’t like them.

How long does it take to recognise the avatar or read the name below it and then scroll past it?
But for example naomi your name comes up on the latest post list, so people click on it to read the answer then realise the original question is from one of the trolls - time wasted you won't ever get back. If I could block the trolls then others could still see their posts but I wouldn't have to.
well, about 5 seconds wasted? That's all it takes for a thread I've clicked on to appear on my screen. Then I'll just click the back button and return to whatever I was reading last.
Maybe if we could get abbeyleigh and Rica together that would solve both their problems and we could get back to some sort of normality on AB (PP that is not your sort of normality!).
Apologies, I misunderstood - I thought you meant banning a poster from posting on the site, so opposed to an individual simply blocking sight of an AB'er's posts you routinely dislike.
Having been on here over twenty-two years, when 'blocking' was not available, I learned to ignore the posts of certain AB'ers, and still do that now.
The "troll" word gets thrown about too much. I know what this is referencing and I can only recommend that you get better at discussing and countering the topic at hand.
