What is the difference between antibiotics and antimicrobals? I thought microbes and bacteria were the same thing

Antimicrobials work, not just against bacteria, as antibiotics do, but also against viruses, fungal infections, protozoan infections (malaria for example).
Antibiotics are a type of antimicrobial, but not all antimicrobials are antibiotics.
