Think I'm nearly there!
I've got 4 down as nipa (Norse beer drink (4)) which leaves me 14 across (which I think must be the film title as I don't believe that any of the other answers are) Kind American priest entering forgotten path (7) ST?IPER - the only word I can make is stripe(r) which I can't make to mean kind.
Please could someone enlighten me? Thank you
Thank you Neveracrossword and Calibax, I've really struggled with this one. The only thing that bothers me is the line under the grid - I feel I (perhaps) should write something on it?
I didn't write anything - but then again, I didn't get enough letters to see the instruction, never mind follow it. I changed things in the grid, but if there was anything else, I haven't done it!
I'm a bit late with this one, but here's my parse for 14A.
KIND(american usage) is the def = STRIPE.
STIE is forgotten (obs) word for path.
Put P for priest in STIE.
So the answer is five letters, STRIPE.
The final R is addded as part of theme.
