^ crumbs round my s key
Search for how to replace it - it might be quite easy.
Im having a similar problem with an old ipod. I took it to the apple people but they didnt have a new battery. I live in Zimbabwe tho so that is not unusual. However they had some scrap ipods that werent working for various other reasons and managed to find a second hand one (battery) which they put in. They seemed to think that even in sth africa I would be unlikely to find a new one. Dont know about in UK or USA tho.

I have found some on Amazon for about a fiver that come with a special tool to insert it. Just don't know if it's worth trying or not. A new ipod to replace mine is £37.
I had an iPod Nano that I hadn't used for years. Apple sent me an email at the end of last year telling me that the battery was faulty so they would replace it. I've got a new iPod that i've never used now!

I was thinking about selling it too...
