Was this ale you bought called Judas a carry-out? (Gets his coat).

Today saw the 13 mile walk from Zuburi to Pamplona.
First though a bit about last night in Zuburi. There seemed to be wine enough for those who wanted it at the pilgrim meal. I hardly drank half of my second glass. I was tired and felt like an early night. There were two rooms with 8 bunks in each. At a charge of 15 Euros they'd be making more than 1600 euros a week in the busy season. The youngster allocating the bunks must have sussed out the snorers and put them all together. It didn't make for a quiet night.
There was also a Swedish woman walking with her two large dogs. They even had little packs on their backs. Because lots of places won't take dogs she had to carry loads of extra
Kit. It totalled more than 50lbs. I believe that's close to the weight Marines carried in the Falklands. Respect to her, and to them. My pack of about 14lb is heavy enough.
Today was mostly walking on rocky paths which meant you had to watch every step. It was also very hot. Later, in Pamplona, I saw one of those digital clocks outside a shop which also gives a temperature reading. It said 35 which is almost 100F.
I found a hotel here which gives a pilgrim discount so will have an undisturbed nights sleep. There's a pizza place just across the street and I'll get something to eat from there later.
Taking it easy and everything is running smoothly.

Beside the pizza place there's a beer shop and I went in for a bottle. In the fridge one caught my eye, 'Judas'. A strange name for a beer but when I got it back I saw why. It's 8.5% alcohol. In the same way that Stella Artois is sometimes called, 'wife beater', a few bottles of this would betray hidden resentments or anger.
