....the arrival of my new toaster......I didn't particularly want a new toaster....even though mine only worked by switching the plug on and off....and that wasn't always successful so a good shake was necessary.....

A friend who stays over from time to time bought the toaster for me....being fed up with burnt toast...Lord some folk are fussy, aren't they.....

This toaster even has an illuminated bagel light???......which my friend says is a must......I don't eat bagels......but hey....it blings the kitchen up a bit more.......and I have a happy friend......☺

Really big nets?...x
I read him the thread as far as it went... he says thank you- he doesn't want them shot and they don't fit in the toaster. Think I may have lost something in translation...xx
And the mention of Jimi Hendrix confused us both :-)
Shoota - do you shoot the parakeets?

You wait til I have the second glass of red, Pixie!!! ☺
Lol. I'm waiting...... :-)
I have in the past 237, we have a real problem with them round here. They are the grey squirrel of the avian world.
Won't need to wait long Pixel...
Down in one! :-)
We have a problem with them around here. Where are you?
Where are you ? He's in gness kitchen having toast .!!!
Not far from Heathrow, they've spread out from Richmond Park and Kew.
^ I suspect he lives near me

Only if he opens the next bottle, Anne....then he can make as much toast as he likes...if he can operate this contraption....x
I'm saving myself for noodles with you Anne...
I know. They mainly roost in Esher rugby club grounds. We have a lot of them in Bushy Park (just down the road from here)
Shoota, your not having noodles at mine, anyway G has red wine :-)
I get them in the garden, they terrorise the small birds and their beaks are so strong they destroy birdfeeders. The worst thing though is the screech that a flock of them makes, worse than the jets....
Don't you like noodles then Anne?
Question Author
Oh it's so difficult.......I do hate what they are doing to our little birds...but it's still our fault that they're here.....shoot them?.....Mmmm I can't be doing with that as you know....so we're obliged to make more of an effort if we want rid of them......x
