Stripping the bed, washing the bedding, hanging it out and putting it back on the bed again, all on the same day.

I shall sink, contentedly, into my pillow tonight.

What are your little pleasures?

For You Tills. I know you will like it. A simple pleasure.

Cuddling a dog.

Blackbirds, coffee and sitting in the cool, a good book. Agree with them all.

Clean underwear...what?
Not a pleasure. A necessity!

I'll have a listen later, Togo. Thank you.

Got to go. Dinner's ready. Thanks all.

Pixie, I nearly missed you there. Definitely near the top, that one. x
Hi Tilly, cheese, crackers & branstons or .. a nice ploughmans ... & cider
Listening to the new Bob Dylan album, 'Rough And Rowdy Ways' (his first album of original songs for 8 years) on a reasonably high volume:-)
I washed the sheet, duvet cover and four pillowcases, pegged them out in that order and by the time the pillowcaes were out, the sheet was dry!
Being by the sea
Well I wouldn't say that doing the laundry was high on my list of life's little pleasures :-)
Being stung into action by the bednobs recliner thread and fixing the creak from our table after years of supressed rage. :-)

In this heat? Nothing that can't wait until it gets cooler.
So many good ones already and lots I agree with.

The sound and smell of sizzling bacon when you return home after a cold winter walk.

Waves lapping on the shore or a fast running stream over rocks.

The best- the laughter of children, especially the uncontrollable fir of giggles in a baby the first time they find something hilarious and you then have to repeat the action a hundred times till you are both worn out with hilarity.

Togo, thank you for the video. What a lovely version. I haven't come across her before but am now going to order 'Hand Me Down' when it's available.
Knew you would like her Tills. Not often a cover is better than the original, especially a song that was such a massive event in the first place. She makes the lyrics mean what the writer meant them to mean. The writer? Prince. He could pen a song you know. She is a Barnsley lass and I "discovered her a while ago driving home late from a days fishing when the Folk Music was on R2 on Wednesday nights. She is also a fair guitar player besides having a voice of her own. Small pleasures....remember?

This is an old one Tills.... remember always.

Floating in silence with my face underwater.
""In this big world I'm lonely, for I am but small,
Oh angels in heaven, don't you care for me at all?
You heard my heart breaking for it rang through the skies,
So why don't you sing me lullabies,""

Another cover that she "owns" . Her voice is electric velvet. I read a quote that said she could sing Boiled Beef And Carrots and imbue it with a frail beauty. Haha .

""Preserving the old ways from being abused
Protecting the new ways, for me and for you
What more can we do?""
