Hope everyone who celebrated yesterday had a lovely day and those who didn't, had a peaceful day!

We stayed at my parents Xmas eve and my brother, sil and nephew came over around 12 and we opened pressies. Little Tigs was in shock when he opened his present from me and his dad...a Steam Deck. I've told him he's not getting anything for his birthday after that much spending which said he's fine with.

I got some nice toiletries and tin and jar opening gadgets from my bro and sil and a tin of biscuits from my parents.

For those that did celebrate, did you get anything nice or anything meh?

Well I suppose we could bury the hatchet, Ynnafym....you choose the head. ;-)
No presents was the agreement this year. But today son came round with something for both us us. His wife actually has a business which sells gifts and plants. We just gave them money to fund a weekend away.

No celebrations at all but a nice meal yesterday evening. Apparently son did a 50 mile cycle ride yesterday, whilst wife did a stocktake and they had a curry in the evening.

All very exciting!
Evening all,, had a nice handbag from my sister, too many sweets and biscuits, and some cooking ingredients including saffron, and dried mushrooms. Apart from that a few toiletries and a new address book. With such a small family it's never a big deal. Bought myself a nice gift this year an Italian grey and black wool coatigan with heavy and colourful surface decoration. Very me, Its been nice just chilling apart from having three very distressing calls from mum who was very distressed and disoriented. Still waiting for a social worker to be assigned so we can start the process of getting her the care she needs.

Great achievement doing a 50 mile bike ride, Miss. And nice that you all did something different. Its the little things that count :o)

Hope your mum gets sorted soon, Rowan. Sounds quite distressing for her.

Ynna, we all have to accept that we don't all have the same views on politics, but agreeing to disagree is the best way. You can never persuade someone to change opinions on anything if they are too obstinate. And that goes for both far-right and far-left.
Tigger, son does long bike rides or hikes whenever he has time off. In all weathers!! Except snow and ice. 50 miles is nothing to him.

Good on him, Miss. I wish I was more active, even for just an hour a day. I'm too lazy :o(
