For once Dave was right.
Meeting friends to celebrate the re-opening of one of our four favourite pubs after weeks of updating.

I was at the door champing at the bit as we were to meet at 4.58 and we were going to be late as Dave was still noodling.

After nudging him (gentlyish) he asked why I was all dolled up so soon. He then informed me that the time now was just 3.50 but I could go and sit in the pub for an hour on my own if I was that desperate.
The clock confirmed Dave was correct. Must be my age. :-(

May have to go easy on the Guinness. ;-)

I hope they haven't turned it into one of those 'theme pubs' Gness. Unless the theme is 'drinking', of course.
They told you "updating".

What they meant was "Gness-proofing" ;-)
Have a great evening, both of you. Look at you - all dolled up! Just taking this opportunity to advise you that you will be "the judge" for 17/3 competition thus saving any comments re favouritism!! No hurry to do this as I realise you may be holed up in some pub somewhere in Kerry for days. xx
Appearing to "lose" time in Kerry is well documented.

https://www.irishcentral.com/roots/lost-time-kidnapped-fairy-ireland#:~:text='Losing'%20time%20is%20a%20common,in%20some%20cases%20even%20years.

However... there doesn't seem to be anything recorded on actually "gaining" time.

Growing up in Cornwall we had Piskies (Pixies), which I imagine says a lot about me. :o)

Getting the hour wrong is completely excusable. I have managed to get the day wrong in two consecutive weeks.

Last week, nipped to local shop, just as I was approaching it, I thought "Heck, it's Weds it's closed on a Wed afternoon". Came home. Moaned at Mr BM about possibly having to go to Tescos cos the shop is shut on a Weds afternoon. "It's Thursday", he replied.

This week, said to Mr BM "Just nipping to the shop." He asked "Is it open" to which I replied yes it is. He said "But it is Wednesday". In my head it was Thursday.

Clearly, I am working too hard. And thankfully today IS Friday (so I have been reliably informed).

No, Zacs. Not a theme put by a long way. We just have pubs and this one if fantastic. Lots of local input and it's been done perfectly. A fantastic night with lots of craic with friends and all the locals popping in for a pint.

Sean has Gness proofed it, LiK but my seat under the TV has been left low again as I'm the only person short enough to sit there when the rugby is on.
Oh dear god, Haz! I'm to judge?!. I promise not to ignore those who have mentioned my height....being a ginger and my liking for Guinness. :-)
I won't be too long in a pub sadly. I have to follow the float Dave will be on dressed as an Irish woman knitting. I need to stay sober for that. It's low and he may fall off.

I know a good deal about loosing time in Ireland, MrBuilder. I have had to train Dave to make sure he never puts on an item of clothing inside out when he gets dressed in the morning. It's not allowed to change that and there will, all day, be the fear that the fairies will take you.
My Mayo uncle was taken by the fairies when he was climbing a Mayo mountain. It was days before they let him return to us. I have also trained Dave to avoid the ditches as we wander home from the pub.

Since we stopped having the lockdown Sunday takeaway, BM I have been confused by days. At least then I knew it was Sunday and could work from there.
You are indeed working too hard. You need a relaxing break in our village where all is calm and peaceful. ;-)
Gness ... forgot to mention the rugby - I'll cheer no matter what the result ... that's what I'm saying just now! x

But I know deep down you'll be cheering for Ireland. :-)
