Limousine For Boris!

Why is Boris Johnson still.being picked up at home by a limousine with security guards present?
He is no longer the PM

From Chambers dictionary, 'limousine...any large motor car'. There's a separate definition, of course, for 'stretch limousine' (not mentioned in the OP).

I don't know if government cars are 'large cars', my interest lies really only in the language.

When I read that I thought the op did not know that ex PM's continue to have security when they leave office .

I didn't get the impression the op was having a dig
