I was already in love with a band called 'Queen' at thirteen. That day cemented a life long passion for the band and their music. I were sat at home though VHS on standby... I still have the original copy I taped.

Retro, dear boy, I’m afraid when a cherry is lost ‘Tis lost forever, alas.
No-one could work a crowd like Freddie. If you didn't know differently, you would be forgiven for thinking the entire Wembley attendees had turned up specifically to see Queen.
Thanks for BA TTT, it was Roger who said lets give em' the Works'
Hence that Albums' name.

NJ good to know we pull out all the stops for johnny southerners oop north. shame you's lot are not as welcoming.

And yes Ken, I was a gnats wing away from seeing them a year later on their Magic tour... alas deemed too young to travel to that there London.
I count myself fortunate enough to have seen them twice, Arky, first time for free:-))
Had i realised how far away from the stage i'd be, i would have taken my army binos. However, the experience was all that mattered.
It was a pity that Freddie cdnt keep his doo-dah zipped up
unlike Princes ( harry, andie) who let it all hang out

such is life and death

I saw Queen is '73 supporting Mott the Hoople, who were brilliant. Queen though were cocksure and destined for stardom, a charismatic frontman, brilliant lead guitarist and powerful rhythm combo, and a few decent tunes.
Overrated. FM had the worst voice in history. High pitched, whining vibrato crap. I always thought there was the "part of the gang" thing about Queen, the FOMO Factor among mates.
Queen? Nah!

TTT, subtle as a bucket of manure in hot summer, as usual. Your boorish reply hasn't changed my mind. :o)

So which rock singer do you think passes muster, Robert Plant, Van Morrison, Bruce Springsteen?

Well I never... I don't know what he posted... hooked and listening to one of the greatest Musicians that ever existed . and he weren't that bad at capitulating an audience. how many copy him since then, I do wonder.

10C... enjoy what you like mate. :-)
Thanks, Arksided. I will. And FM is still overrated.
Only just seen this... I was lucky enough to be at Live Aid :) The whole thing was amazing but Queen were beyond that, Freddie had the whole place in the palm of his hand!
I also met Bob Geldof in the toilets and as a Boomtown Rats fan that made my day even more specail lol
