Been away for a couple of days to go to a family funeral in Welshpool.
OH's son in law died in Canada. He was a professional footballer/manager/trainer in Welshpool originally but ended up playing in US and Canada.
We went to the Crem. first and then the parish church. When we came in the church I was amazed, never seen so many people in a church. Apart from first few rows which were reserved for family there was not a single seat empty.
Apparently all the local papers had the story and lots of support from the football
Associaton filled every seat. He had a really good send off and there were a few hundreds at the wake.

Good to read that a community can come together to support the family and pay their final respects, Caran.
That must have been a comfort, Caran. Funerals aren't for the deceased, they are for family, friends and loved ones.
