Has there come a time where people are sick of murderers, rapists and pedophiles getting away with soft sentences in 'easy living' prisons?

Imagine the fear in someone's eyes when they are marched up to the noose and know their life is about to end. Surely this would be the only time when they really think about their actions and perhaps their not such the big person anymore. For the victims family its justice and lets face it, isn't it justice that criminals are severely punished for their crimes rather than watching TV from the comfort of their cells at our expense?!

There is no justice in the criminal justice system anymore.

Keep all the guilty in jail then when somebody needs an organ transplant, kill them and use their organs. At least this way someone will benefit.
Pick me for the job of executioner! I'd hang 'em high.
No of course hanging should not be brought back, what an absurd, backward idea. This isn't even a well versed question, more like a personal rant and very unsuitable from the editorial team, what is going on here these days?
I am a great believer in suspended sentences.
Hang them. I would join the queue to do the job.
yes
I am against capital punishment. Gandhi said ' An eye for an eye will make the whole world blind.'

To bring back hanging would mean making killing lawful, albeit in certain circumstances. If we resurrect the death penalty then we would be saying that it is ok to kill. Crime would paradoxically increase with the belief that well if Im going to hang for it etc and there would be an insurgence of vigilante groups carrying out public or private hangings in the name of the law. Imagine being called to jury service and knowing that your decision meant that someone could be put to death.

Capital punishment did not prevent or reduce crime in any part of our documented history, so why should we assume it would now? The reason it was abolished is because it was ineffective and immoral sentiments that are still appropriate today.
there is a reason amnesty international includes the death penalty as part of their assessment of countries human rights records. Its because its barbaric and outdated. its state sanctioned murder which might satisfy you blood thirsty lot but it sickens me.
Yes bring back hanging for all those who plead quilty.
