When Jesus died on the cross, I believe the purpose was to die for our sins. Why was this necessary, as we are still held to account for our sins anyway before entering heaven....If we pass !
Also, did he die for the sins of the people who were alive at the time, or the people who were already dead, or the people who were not yet born?

Keyplus you stated categorically that Jesus was never married, and then you changed your mind and said he may have been. Now you're saying that John the Baptist never married. How do you know? We can only try to ascertain the truth from the scant evidence before us, and if religion were honest, it would concede that there are many things it doesn't know, but nevertheless pronounces on anyway.
Naomi - you are again twisting the words, these were my words.

"You are saying there is no denial either. Fine I agree with you. I do not have problem with that even if he was married because that does not make him God".

This is what I said, if you believe there is no denial then I will agree with you because Jesus (pbuh) was married or not (although I believe he was not) I have no problem with that because for me he is still just a prophet married or unmarried. Does not make difference.
Keyplus I do not twist words - I have never twisted yours or anyone else's words - I have no need to. You twist your own words. You say one thing, and then in the next post you say something completely different.

Jesus being married may not make a difference to you, but it would make a difference to the Christian Church.
Exactly - Now you are on the right track Naomi - Just read what I said earlier. I said It will only make difference to Christians even if we believe I will repeat, even if we believe that he did get married. Because Muslims do not believe he was God so there will be no difference for them even I repeat Even if we believe he was married. And that does not mean we accepted he was married. In simple English it is called "Assumption".
Keyplus I think you're suffering under a misapprehension. I haven't just discovered the right track. I was never in any doubt of of Jesus status' as far as Islam is concerned. I was simply responding to your contention that he was unmarried.
So that mean you are accepting that he was unmarried?
Or you are saying that he was married?
Or you just can not make your mind up?
Perhaps he was married but then got separated or divorced? This one will cover all the possibilities.
Keyplus Oh dear.
Too much caffeine!
If god is so great, then why did my parents split when i was three 1/2, mum died when i was 23, father in law dies when i was 26, nan died when i was 28.
Miscarried a child at 26 and now my one other nan is really ill.

As for repenting my sins, errr what are they??

Why did i do for this one???
Naomi - Just a question please. How do you make words Bold or italic. I could not find. So I thought you spend so much time here so why not benefit from the experience of a trusted friend.
Bad things happen to good people, you know that. It is the way of the world. A fallen world that was once perfect but is now corrupted by mans sin.
And collectively, look at our sin to see what a mess we have made of things. Wars, drugs, drunkenness and immorality to name just a few.
God is not responsible for those things, they are our responsibility.
sickness and death are symptoms of this fallen world, and our hope should be in god to put it right, and give us the strength to cope with it.
Tiggy - No one knows, but just one thing. just imagine if you had died before all that happened, you wouldnt have known that would you. So certain things are not for us to know, even if we know then they are not in our control, So why not just be patience as you have no other choice. However if you do have a choice then avail it. Lets see if it works or gives you more problems afterwards.
Theland Now why didn't I think of caffeine? Very good. :o)
