My dad has fallen asleep with a DVD running. For some reason he has it about as loud as it can go and now it's obviously just on the menu as all i can hear is the same two lines from a crap song over and over again.

Ive tried banging round outside his room in the hope it will wake him up but once he is gone he is gone.

I'm going to be demented if it goes on for much longer. Aahhhhh!

Can you not just go in and turn it off?
Does he have a lock on the door?

No lock, but I'm pretty sure he sleeps in the nud. I'd need sedation after that!
EB - shouldn't keep him in the Garden Shed, you know.....
barge in and turn it off! just be prepared for what you come across...it's like me going into my 18 yr old son's room to turn his telly off - some very questionable viewing and the odd bare ass on view unexpectedly. have fun...x
Just knock on the door, open it slightly (close your eyes) and shout or throw something at him and tell him to turn it down. Or go in there and turn it off and if he's in the nuddy then I doubt he'll ever leave his telly up again!

There's no way I'm going in there. Even if I was brave enough I don't think he'd ever speak to me again.

He will be in the garage from tomorrow night DT.
Switch the fuse off momentarily :)
Is he alright? maybe you should check......
I was going to say the same, can you trip the system safely? I wish I'd had that brainwave earlier when idiot ex housemate went away leaving his alarm to come on to some serious death metal, door locked, window open and right next to a park with lots of kids! I endured about a day and a half before I thought to trip the electric and it worked. Just be careful if you have an alarm system or anything like that as it can do funny things to them or anything set to a timer.

He is fine, it's a nightly occurrence but it's not usually so loud.

I have a plan...
Please...........This is like waiting for the other shoe to fall. Has the plan worked????
