is this genuine?

Just curious as there is a farmers market that sells all this stuff fresh - wrapped only in a poly tray and cling film ... but how can it be?
where do they get it all from that they can keep it, unfrozen to sell on market stalls?
if it is frozen, would they really unfreeze it just to display?
what if it doesn't sell? its not exactly popular so surely itd be a lot of waste.

i cant help thinking its probably just various meats mixed into a sausage as a blag

what do you think?

cheers

could be frozen; if they can get NZ lamb to your High Street they should be able to get African meat there. They do eat this stuff in Africa, so it isn't necessarily fake.
Well, not quite so exotic...but I've had ostrich, springbok, reindeer...all from Lidl....delicious.
reindeer?

You ate Rudolph??
Try the zoo shop :-)
Yes...and it was just before last Christmas.....oh, and Kangaroo.
If they sold random bits of different animals, and called it "zebra", one might be forgiven for thinking that it would attract more attention from the Trading Standards Office.
There's a Butchers in my local town that sells joints of these exotic meats, they seem genuine enough to me, although they don't look that appealing so I've never indulged.
On the other hand, my Mum used to work in a shop that sold T-rex steaks and Bronto burgers, but they were always out of stock, I think those were definitely fakes. ;-)
Well Sainsbury's sell giraffe bread so I don't see why not.

Does it say '"meat", may contain aardvark, antelope, badger..tiger.....zebra and nut traces'
Sainsburys only sell giraffe bread because a girl who was shopping with her mum said the patterns on the tiger bread looked more like a giraffe, so they changed it.
JJ, you think that 3 year old really wrote that letter? Sure? Sure it wasn't a bit of PR? Really sure? Not even a little bit of doubt? Honestly?
I was once given a tin of possum road kill, so, obviously that meat wasn't dodgy.
