On a recent trip to Paris I had a gorgeous Martini Gin..The second evening I was asked if I wanted pink gin Martini. Does anyone know the exact ingredients of this drink? Is Pink Gin mixed or bought pink?

I'm sure someone else will tell you exactly but don't you add a few drops of some poison (name escapes me now) then tip it out of the glass and then add the gin. God what is the name of that stuff????

Bitters?

http://www.thefoody.com/drinks/pinkgin.html recipe for it here or variation: http://www.in-the-spirit.co.uk/cocktails/print_cocktail.php?id=209 or another here: http://swankmartini.com/martini_recipes/pink_gin_martini.htm so there are lots of versions, but basically gin and angostura bitters with a twist. Different gins will also give a different result as the recipe for the making of the gin will change depending on the brand.

Any non-drinker by the way can have tonic and bitters and it looks and tastes like a G & T - good option for drivers.

The Naval version of a pink gin is : a couple of drops of Angastura Bitters in a Paris goblet, rolled around the glass and shaken out. Measure of Plymouth gin added and small jug of water offered for cusomer to add their own. I once saw a naval officer asked if he wanted ice in his pink gin, not recommended!!!
