ah, Kolley Kibber. Presumably Graham Greene named him after the poet laureate Colley Cibber. Lobby Ludgate was the real newspaper's address.
Just as a matter of interest, it has just been pointed out to me that the Daily Mirror brought out a similar fictitious called Chalky White, and he carried out seaside challenges. His name was derived from the famous mate of Andy Capp.
I remember Chalky White.
there was a gerry anderson remake of Captain Scarlett - a few years ago - the CGI then was state of the art. Only one series though ;-(
