Beans On Toast
For us tonight...thick sliced hovis for me, toasty white sliced for him. Real butter. A splash of brown sauce and some grated cheese on top.

Er, sort of!
I took a portion of casserole steak from my freezer and defrosted it. I then made up a basic sauce to cook it in from a packet of beef and tomato cup soup (made a little thicker than normal) with a generous dollop of tomato purée and some dried Italian herbs. I couldn't be bothered to par boil any veg this time, so I just added sliced carrots from a can and some tinned new potatoes.
I'll give it several hours in the oven, at Gas Mark 2, to ensure that the beef is really tender.
As I wrote above, it's a very basic beef casserole!
