does anyone know where I can buy maple sugar, cream and butter from a uk mail order company? I know I can get it straight from Canada and the US but the p and p and customs make this very expensive.

You're a domestic goddess neti. The sealant around my bath's got black marks that bleach won't shift so it's another job on the list for when I get a man in. I haven't got a strong enough grip for squeezing the filler gun. I've bought onesies for the mini Tarquins for xmas, and some solar robots you have to construct yourself. By the time they've figured them out it'll hopefully be sunny enough to make them work. Hope they can program them to do my diy :)

Hairdo day yesterday. Asked for an inch off and of course she heard two inches. And my fringe is borderline eccentric....you know what I mean.

Dry here as yet but more rain on the way later according to Accu. I was hoping we'd seen the last of all the rain but apparently not.
Your friend has done really well Jno.I bet she feels a lot better for it.

Yes lilac for me next time. Hair is just at the slightly too long stage and looks good but in a week it'll be disasterous and I'll have to have it chopped and it'll look awful for xmas! It's still spikey as that suits me and my hair, also hides the roots
Why do I, at 75, still have dark roots when I am blonde anyway? Front isna lively white colour but not the rest.

hello all. I have earned my white hairs and am damned if I will hide them. I am neck deep in glue and glitter and paint making christmas cards...its lovely.

I wouldn't mind if I was going white but my hair's going that horrible salt and pepper grey colour and makes me look totally washed out. I've still got dark hair underneath at the back Neti and it looks awful neither one thing or the other.My brothers and my Dad went white and I get bldy seasoning :)

Snap Shaney, when I last allowed my natural hair colour to show it was salt and pepper and really didn't suit me at all. I'm surprised at you, as all my dark haired friends have gone white beautifully. Yes Woofy once I am all white I'll leave it but at the moment it looks awful if I don't help it. Once a month hair cut costs 12€ a month and the colour from eBay is 3 packs for 25€ so it's cheap enough. I may give up my beautiful nails in Feb as Mr N will then be a pensioner too so no idea if I will be able to afford 43€ a month for them. I love my nails!

I saw that, shaney, really interesting, a lot there that I didn't know. I wish she'd said something about The Holly and the Ivy, which sounds very pagan to me, but all she did was a couple of lines.

I liked the black choir - were they the ones at Meghan's wedding? They really got into the songs. All those cute choirboys in red just looked blank-faced and hardly moved their lips.

I knew about Stille Nacht and WW1 but it hadn't occurred to me that sleeping in heavenly peace meant dead.

I watched Elizabeth is missing this evening.It was very good.Glenda Jackson was brilliant ,in fact all the cast were good.
Very pleased with my hair and she suggested I have it done all over next time instead of high and low lights.
Not pleased with the taxi firm I use though and I'm a loyal customer.
I rang to book a cab and they told me they are not doing any short journeys until after the Christmas period so I told them I wouldn't be making any journeys,short or long with them ever again and if they didn't want my dosh I would go somewhere else.....so there :)
Turned very cold here now .Time for bed said sleepyhead.

Morning all from a dark and damp Derbyshire.
I'm still miffed about my hair really but hey ho, it's not the end of the world. I'll have to sparkle in other areas. I did turn to see a rather nice builder at my feet in the supermarket yesterday... a tad quick for a proposal I thought. He said he'd knocked my shopping over. Anytime. :) (Made a mental note of the company)

Heck shaney, if our local taxi firms said that they'd all be out of business. Well done for dumping them, I'd be inclined to spread the word....loudly.
I'll catch up with Lucy. I'm guessing my sister missed it too or she would have told me it was on.

Dry and brightening up atm here but looks like plenty of the wet stuff later.
Thing with this particular taxi firm is that they've got too big for their own good.They have the hospital contract,the school runs contract and various other lucrative work.In fact they have the monopoly round here so I suppose they can pick and choose. The other smaller firm I rang were quite happy to take me so I'll use them in future.

we have got a new fridge in, and the men took away the old one. It is higher thant he old one but I don't think it has more space; the walls seem thicker. But it doesn't need defrosting, which will be a boon.

After straining heaving and complaining we have managed to rehang the doors. They look okay but we seem to have three screws left over.
