maple syrup products

does anyone know where I can buy maple sugar, cream and butter from a uk mail order company? I know I can get it straight from Canada and the US but the p and p and customs make this very expensive.

OH has reported back from a visit to Oxford St and says the top two or three floors in Debenhams have vanished. No wonder, with everyone at home buying online. (And sending them to my address.)

I am feverishly waiting on a posh sewing and embroidery machine. A website had it on a decent reduction with extras then they put up a 50% off everything code. I don't think it was supposed to work on the megabucks items but it did and they honoured it!

Woofy for some reason I am mixed with sewing machines, my tension always always beggers upland I make it worse. I love zooming up a seam but am too nervous and its quicker for me by hand!

Jno at least your post is all in the same building! I have to wander the nearby streets to find them. If I cba I pop them.back in post box but feel we should all have our post this season. And they are all addressed correctly! Except ours as some people use our po box from 40 years ago and not my surname but bless the pasties they seem to find me. I always give them chocs for
xmas as a gesture and it works!

I replaced all my washing lines today except for the whirlygig. Theres a 10 m one, a seven m one and a 3 m one. I also bought a wall one just for scruffy things that I dint want the neighnours to see ( and my Bridget Jones' ) enough if that
I love hanging washing out. And yes am still managing to find white pegs!

Well hello there, tis I neti, keeping the home fires burning! Did you all receive your expected parcels? I have bought myself some bluetooth headphones ( no idea yet as to how to use them) a leather jacket a 2020 wall calendar and a Kings Cake which I love! It is rather chilly!! Went.to Lidl and it felt rather sad as they were belting out English carols but to me it's all over. But it's the Kings on Sunday/monday and that's the Spanish xmas !

Having a lazy day walking around village. It's a long boring weekend as Kings come tomorrow night and so Monday is a huge fiesta!

Morning all
Dull and dreary one which is how I feel.Had a sinussy headache for a few days now and feel bunged up.It won't shift and my ears ache.
Managed to clear up the Christmas stuff though and at last Mr S has found all his old passports and various other important papers.
Had to get a child to rummage in various boxes in the loft and found the one with the vital Home Office stamp and the letter confirming indefinite leave to remain in the UK,so he doesn't have to jump through any hoops now.

Morning all from a dull and dreary Derbyshire but it could be so much worse than miserable weather, the fires in Australia are heartbreaking.

I texted my sis yesterday and said I felt so sluggish and probably needed a dog or an exercise bike. She sent me a link to 2 dogs who need rehoming, she'd love one but her OH wouldn't. Said she'd have both, keep them in the wardrobe for a while, then tell him she'd had them for ages :)

Oh well, another parcel to look forward to tomorrow.

I need to get on my bike again.I've lapsed a bit over Christmas.
It does help if only to improve my mood but it doesn't seem to do much for my back.
I've been banging on for ages for him to find this stuff but he just keeps saying he'll sort it out later.Well, time is marching on and he'll need proof so I put my foot down and insisted on a search party:)
Yes ,the fires in Australia are horrendous.Their PM seems like a prize pillock too and totally useless in getting the people any help.Idiots seem to abound in governments lately.

We have all our residence papers ready. Birth and marriage certificates all translated. Been legal since forever it seems but I'll bet you anything we'll have to jump through hoops and whatnot to get Foreigners cards for when we are 3rd world nationals. It's a frightening thought but that how it was when I first arrived and to be honest I liked it! We knew where we stood. Im Just dreading the applying bit as although we are totally legal and swapping our Residence cards for foreigner cards should be simple you know darned well that Spain will be awkward!

I've been to Costco to get some oranges - theirs are always far bigger, juicier and sweeter than anyone else's this time of year, but I feel so guilty about the carboon footprint that I have to buy lots of wine and stuff to justify the journey.

I've just realised a parcel I ordered two weeks ago hasn't arrived. I tried the tracking number but it just said "we've stopped tracking this because you should have got it by now", which isn't very helpful.

Agreed woofy, I really had to force myself to do it. All packed tidily but I still haven't got the steps out to put the boxes in the high cupboard, I was too dizzy.

Oh deep joy, parcel arrived, lovely soft half price knee length cardi is now mine. I saw it when we were on our Derbyshire jaunt, regretted buying it but found it online. The emails have been a tad disconcerting tho'....

Morning all
Dull and dreary here too.Haha,I feel as if I've got a fat face,I'm so bunged up.
Neti, Mr S hasn't got an ID card as only citizens who reside in Germany get those but he must renew his passport.This means a trip to the embassy because they now need iris recognition. He used to be able to do it line.What a load of faffing faff.
Instead of moving back here when we retired I'm now beginning to wish we had upped sticks and gone to live in Germany.We did consider it at the time but I couldn't cope with moving now.
