does anyone know where I can buy maple sugar, cream and butter from a uk mail order company? I know I can get it straight from Canada and the US but the p and p and customs make this very expensive.

oh, I've got a mouth guard, Robinia. Feels weird for a week then feels weird without it.
Question Author
I chewed through my mouth guard.
I had one of those see though plastic things that slot over the teeth. Couldnt eat with it. Food got stuck in all the inside grooves. Yuk! Wish my regular chinese hairdresser would come back but they seem to be on a rota and go to different towns. My hair is ginormous at the moment but I decided to keep it for the drivers licence.
I jujst have mine for sleeping, neti, so hopefully no eating.
Mine was when I had lost my incisor and she glued it into the plastic so I could smile. In the end I just took it out when eating and at home. I then had a new tooth glued into the mouth!
Hello and yay go me! I passed my driving medical ! It was so easy! But first time I've had a hearing test and with tinnitus it was difficult to know which was which!!
Question Author
yes mine wasn't for eating in, just sleeping and driving.
Good morning...bit foggy out there.
Now I would send you all a personal hand-written letter today (it's national handwriting day) but by the time you receive it it would be history and I can't afford the stamps, so sorry, this is all you get.
I went shopping with my sister yesterday and got a tad carried away in the M&S foodhall, I think I'm ok 'til March now.
The downside is I'm sitting with a hot pack down the back of my joggers.Ooooph.
Do you use the correct cleaning stuff for your mouth guards or just give it a scrub with a bit of Vim?
Dont mock Vim Robi, I have used it on natural teeth! Ok ok so that may explain why I have lost a few but still!
Very nice weather here today chilly but sunny. Hija hopefully flying in this afternoon Storm Gloria permitting! Did anyone see that our Gloria made the ITV news?
Loads of planes flying in with fresh food. I didnt even run out of anything!!
Ooh I wouldn't mock Vim neti, I grew up in a thoroughly Vimmed, Brasso'ed and Mansioned house.
No I didn't see storm Glo on the tele, I'm avoiding all but a bit of local news at the moment. Anything to do with brexit, vegans and Meghan/Harry has me on the verge of apoplexy.
I agree Robi. They are all making me apoplectic! We had 14.8 m waves. We were on BBC 1. Hopefully its all over now. The hija has landed. Mr N has dutifully driven off to collect her from the airport
I may have a full driving licence but dont want to waste it!! We are having a chinese take away for dinner so I dont have to cook!!
Shaney you ok now? Hope everyone else is feeling chipper!
There is a British youth who has gone missing. Unfortunately they have found his scooter and his jacket floating 300 m out to sea. This in itself doesnt spell disaster but it doesnt sounds good.
I just scrub my guard with toothpaste, which obviously should work but doesn't. In fact one type of toothpaste worked wonderfully but I forgot to make a note of which it was. Other ones just turn it yellow. Glad hija is not an orphan of the storm.

Stan the man came round to install W10 on OH's computer. He just got it started, linked it to his phone and went off to do something else, ready to come back when it was 99% downloaded. But it went wrong and he's going to have to come back and do it in person. Before he left I asked if he could solve a few small problems for me, and he did so by doing exactly the same things I did, and they worked for him though they hadn't for me. :-(

jno he has the magic touch. I was told to use denture products on my mouth guard but also warned that whatever is used, the soft ones have a limited lifespan and end up yellow, smelly and manky
Evening all
Yes ,feeling much better now Neti ,thank you.
That storm looks awful ,all that sea foam everywhere.Must have been quite frightening.Well done on passing your test.
Hope the rest of you are all ok and staying free of sneezes and diseases.Nothing interesting here apart from a moment of fame on Michael Portillo's GBRJ this evening. The regenerated waterways on the seafront in GY which were very popular back in the day but had been left to go to rack and ruin but they now look very nice again.
Some people just have the knack with tech stuff. When mine threw a wobbly recently I looked up what the fault might be and it said I probably had a programme running in the background that was slowing it down.I looked behind the monitor but couldn't find it :)

hahaha shaney. I watched the new program about Europe done by Ed Balls last night...he's a better TV presenter than politician. I thought that the nationalism displayed as a rise in support for traditional practices that could be seen as undesireable (I don't want to say non PC) was interesting and mirrors what seems to be happening in the UK and the US as well.....although of course you can slant TV programs how you like.
Morning each...grey and cloudy again.
Good to see you're feeling better shaney, we all need a bit of sunshine I think. Tarquin's often said there might be something running in the background... I told him it was the tap, haha. Technology is addling my brain...I tried to enlarge a section of the picture on the lid of my jigsaw with two fingers. :) And I've only just discovered I can dictate text messages on my phone instead of typing. It really needs a lesson in Nottinghamese tho'.

I'll catch up with the colourful Michael P later, missed it last night.

the postman's just delivered the 1000 return address labels I ordered. Of course they all have the address wrong. Funnily enough, they spelt it correctly on the package, so I have invited them to try again.
Hello all
Another gloomy foggy day.
I watched that programme with Ed Balls. It was very interesting.I like Ed and I think he's another ex politician who's found something better to do with his time. I noticed he was wearing his Norwich City scarf. His travels in Trumpland was good too.
I remember seeing the Zwarte Pieten from our time in the Netherlands.
I had a jigsaw for Christmas. It's two in a box of 500 pieces of picturesque Norfolk,Cromer and Horning.I haven't done the one I got for Christmas 2018 yet.
Now that's a novel idea Robinia .I wonder if I can do that on my phone. It would save a lot of fat finger typos.I think there must be loads of stuff on my phone that I haven't discovered as yet. That's very annoying Jno .You would think they would know how to spell Jno Towers :)
