what did he say?

Not remotely comparable.

is he sending a task force to the south atlantic?

If I've got the right speech it's more hot air.  Standing up to tyrants like Putin who only respond to strength - and a big announcement of an increase in spending on defence - by 2027.  Go back to sleep Mr Starmer.

Hardly a "Falklands Moment"

He has announced that, by 2027, spending on defence will rise by 0.2% from 2.3% of GDP to 2.5%. This would be achieved by cutting overseas aid from 0.5% o 0.3% of GDP. And this will take two years.

The amount involved is £13bn which probably be lost in "rounding" and "noise". Most of it will probably be nullified by increased borrowing costs as government debt shows no sign of easing because of profligate spending. As well as hat, interest rates will remain high for that very reason.

 There is no chance of sending in the Witch on her broomstick to help out because  I think maybe Sir Keir has destroyed the portrait on the wall ,,No more TGL then.

Kim Jong Tool! PMSL!

The first question from the floor seemed to sum things up,  Starmer was giving a sweetener prior to his meeting with Trump.  It seemed the speech was done without much warning.

remind me what a falklands moment is

and foo-ers please dont foo about the Falklands I know where THEY are

//remind me what a falklands moment is//

Nah - you'll only come back with some gobbledygook.🤣
