How can * they* even think of doing this at this time?
These nurses and Doctors are vital in the running of the NHS and should not be penalised , they aren’t the ones coming to our shores on dinghys ,they are providing a special service to us in Britain, this should be scrapped forthwith

NJ, I think 'denuding'is a bit of an exaggeration.Other countries have also recruited doctors from the UK in the past.
nj I agree. When I worked in the NHS I refused to be a financial part of the projects that communicated with, or went to, other countries to encourage staff to come to the UK to work. I accept that for specialisms, its beneficial to go to the gold standard establishments, but I felt then and feel now that we shouldn't be stealing trained staff from other countries who have paid for their training.
I agree, woof. From their point of view and ours. They need these people. We only do, because we won't pay enough for our own. It depends if you are thinking long or short term, really.
