I'm going out on a limb here but I would suggest a poll commissioned by the Sun might not be entirely un-biased.
I think that’s probably a pretty accurate reflection of the nation’s mood. Starmer tries too hard to be all things to all people and simply makes what he thinks are the right noises - and that doesn’t inspire confidence.
Pity it wasn't a sample of the nations voting demographic.
Stop it! I'm welling up ere!
Not sure that is really news is it?
Starmer and Sunak have been at least neck and neck for for a while.
Sunak I think seems like a normal sort of PM at least, after the craziness of the pair before him. I think he'd be just as good a PM as Starmer, why not? But I wouldn't vote for his party.
That's not to say others would be the same of course.
I quite like Rushi Sunak. He seems like a serious politician unlike the previous pair of clowns.

I won't be voting Tory though.
Ich, saying you think Sunak would be just as good as a PM as Starmer doesn’t make sense. Starmer has never been PM so you’ve no idea how he would perform.
Well, I don't think much of Sunak and I know one or two people who have met him and don't think much of him either. I especially don't like the way he was foisted on to the Conservative party voters and the country. I don't think much of Starmer either; probably less than I think of Sunak.
The writing has been on the wall for years - this country is being ruined by professional politicians.
Would you rather have amateur ones?
Going back a good few years, Zacs; the 'amateurs' i.e. politicians of conviction, did pretty well.
Labour must get a new leader or there will be another 10 years of Tory rule .
Who, for example, Jourdain?
"Labour must get a new leader or there will be another 10 years of Tory rule ." Well let's hope its not one of their 'angry women' because there is not one of them who can string a sentence together let alone run the country.

Eh?
I’m offering an opinion about what might happen in figure: that’s kind of how opinion polls work sometimes.
In”future”
Let's be honest, if the citizens of this nation had any sense the list of public preferences for possible MP candidates would be won hands down by 'none of the above'.

Those that seem worth a shot either never seem to be in a position to get onto the list, or they don't want to apply for the job.
"None of the above" is just a lazy option I'm afraid.

It is very easy to be negative.
I confess I was rather sceptical about Sunak's appointment at first, but I have now changed my mind somewhat. Whereas most politicians, of all stripes, seem to be pre-occupied with eliminating one another, Sunak is calmly & responsibly getting on with the job he is supposed to do.

In a head to head he'd now certainly get my vote.
Never as easy as with this last lot though.

Hardly lazy to admit none are worth encouraging though, it's far lazier to just continue putting a cross against the same party as always.
Bring back Boris he will win the next GE no problem. ..........Not saying for which party though........
