I don't really know how it works with citizenship but as long as the country of origin of the parent give citizenship to the child it should work.I would imagine that is probably what happens already, but I'm not quite sure

I can see why but if they are stopping the illegals anyway this seems a bit unnecessary.

will he remove citizenship from people who already have it if their parents were illegal or on short term visas??

and no he does not have the right to give executive orders that violate the constitution. if they're going to let him do that then it's game over.

TTT, they're never going to stop illegals completely and this applies to those born to mothers who are in the country on temporary visas too.

Seems a reasonable proposal. He can't change their nationality which is from where they arrived, but citizenship is different.

 

However he ought not leave anyone without citizenship. He should ensure the country where they would have been legally born, had their parents not entered illegally, offer them citizenship instead.

 

Maybe he needs to ensure different levels of American citizenship. Full and 2nd (visitor) Tier maybe.

Can amendments of the US Constitution be changed, then?  Like, say, the second amendment ...

It should go without saying that if you're in the country illegally, you and your offspring have forfeited any rights including citizenship.

Yes, they absolutely can.  Three examples of this would be the 13th Amendment (Prohibiting Slavery), the 17th Amendment (Direct Election of Senators), the 19th Amendment (Granting Women the Right to Vote)

Illegal immigrants are not subject to US jurisdiction, do not pay taxes, cannot be conscripted. It follows that any offspring is likewise not subject to US jurisdiction and are not therefor entitled to birthright citizenship.

jurisdiction would appear to simply mean "subject to the authority of"... illegal immigrants are subject to the authority of the US. they are not exempt from its laws otherwise they wouldn't be illegal.
