Milliband Looks Like A Derranged Psychopath!
Has anyone actually told him that even if we got to actual zero it would actually make zero difference?

Even among a bunch of idiots posing as a government, his unbalanced nonsense increases the electorate's distrust of his party, and he needs to be removed before he damages anything further.
"Whereas "insecure" fossil fuels are to blame for "the cost of living crisis", which ruined family finances, which ruined public finances, which ruined business finances".
This country has an abundance of gas and coal which it could exploit, keep for its own use and for which it could set its own price. But it won't.
Instead it chooses to offshore much of its industry (and the accompanying emissions) to countries who are not so foolish, whilst seeing what remains of its industry and its domestic users paying the highest energy prices in the developed world.
Despite spending more than £200bn on wind and solar energy sources, there are many occasions when well over 50% of the country's electricity demand is met by gas powered plants. Even the increasingly eccentric Mr Miliband accepts that this will prevail for many years, probably decades to come.
The UK's gas strategy is ridicuous. Domestic sources provide less than 30% of our requirements, but the producers export almost 50% of their supply to other countries. Meanwhile we import the other 70% we need (with consequent loss in revenue to the UK economy). More than 40% of our needs comes from that well known den of instability that is Norway; 20% from the USA and 4% from Qatar (the last two arrive in liquified form in large diesel powered ships). The remainder comes in small doses from a variety of sources, some as far afield as Peru, Trinidad and Nigeria.
Meanwhile, Mr Miliband's rabid strategy is to continue pouring huge sums into wind and solar (paid for by hefty supplements on both commercial and residential consumers' bills). It sudddenly seems to have dawned on him that much of this power is produced in places hundreds of miles from where it is needed and the grid does not have the capacity to get it to where it is required (hence his "zonal pricing" scheme which he flatly denies is under consideration).
By some careful "creative accounting" no doubt the UK will have a "net zero" electricity system by 2030. He can strut like a peacock on the world stage and the rest of the world can laugh at his antics as well as his stupidity (which they will have intention of replicating).
And please don't even start me on the scandal that is Drax.
I am simply hoping that a moment of common sense - rather like that which the Supreme Court exercised with the transgender fiasco - might drag the country back from this disaster, but with lunatics like Miliband running the show, I have little faith that it will.
