I've only recently come across 'neurodivergent' - this from the internet:

 

//people who process information in a way that is not typical for their age. This variation could include a diagnosed condition like autism or attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), but neurodivergence itself is not a diagnosis.//

 

So many 'conditions' in chldren with much in common, ie most come from deprived areas - but are these labels used to give validation to an unhealthy lifestyle?  Is the real problem nature - or is it nurture?

Without going into it in too much detail, I believe it's what today's younger people have eaten and drunk  since birth (ultraprocessed food), compared to what previous generations used to eat and drink (proper food). That, and more data now  being widely available and distributed since the over the last two or three decades, which means that we hear more about these issues.

children seem to be parked in front of tv's with games consoles, in my street i never see any riding cycles skateboards etc, hardly any in parks.. yet when my children were you we encourged them to make friends locally, go out and play in the parks etc, had parties for birthdays in each others houses, when i was a child there was never enough time in the day, i as never in.

I live in a cul de sac and our gardens back on to the woods, so I do see children playing out front and back but I agree many children are sedentary.  Driven to school and back and spend all their free time sat on their backsides.

My children ate a lot when they were growing up but they were very physically active, with us and with their friends.

not surprised they barely move these days. They even use lecky push bikes and scooters.
