Reckon the tree and decorations will go up next weekend. What's your schedule?

I have them out, just waiting for the kids to come over soon and put them up for their kids enjoyment, I know we're all adults, it's fun. I notice minty has been mentioned, I don't really know her only that I did comment recently on the passing of her Dad, I can't imagine it will be all party for her this year.

it won't be easy for her, sure. And I know that many ABers will be thinking of her and her Mum et al.....there's a bit of a running gag as to our collective amnesia to her birthday.

The tree going up is the only bit of Christmas I hate. Himself is in charge and he makes such a fuss about it and then, invariably, gets his hair off with thing 1 (she 'excitable' at the best of times).

I don't bother with tree or trimmings. You only have to take the damn things down afterwards.

I understand DT, we do that here with a family member, a Christmas birthday.. I just wish they'd forget mine, I'm a bit long in the tooth for them ;}

I like that tree DTC. I have a twinkly fibre optic one and my granddaughter uhh s fascinated by it.

Christmas is a very unhappy time for so many people and for so many reasons.

It is Jan .. & I sometimes have to subdue my natural delight about everything Christmas, it's always a special time to me.

We put ours up around the 15th of the month, once you get to 12th night it feels like they have been up forever!
