Brexit , If Mr Corbyn and his MPs, along with the Tory remainers, and other parties, Snp, etc voted against Brexit, would it be enough to scupper Brexit ?.

Crissa.....You appear not to understand the arithmetic involved...Sturgeon is not dictating anything.

Her Party has 56 Westminster MPs, out of a possible 59. Labour, the Tories and the Libdems have no mandate in Scotland, only having 1 MP each.

There are 63 SNP MSP's, which is twice as many as any other Party represented at Edinburgh, so she has a mandate there as well.

Last but not least, Scotland voted overwhelmingly to REMAIN.

Gromit...you may be right, but she was wrong to keep the A50 issue within Downing Street, as the judgement made perfectly clear. She should have realised that she was on a sticky wicket, right from the start.

This smacks to me of either arrogance and/or incompetence, both of which is unforgivable in a PM.

So, if she does make an appeal, then it flies in the face common sense, if she knows that she will almost certainly fail. What would be the point ?

She should table a motion to debate A50, as soon as she is able, and let the Houses of Parliament know exactly what they will be voting for.

This could, of course take some time, but if it does than so be it.

You're all taking me too, literally. Maybe my use of the word, "dictating" was I'll-thought.
What I was trying to say was that Mrs May's detractors, (the Remoaners) have been saying that she wasn't elected to be Prime Minister, like George Brown,and therefore shouldn't be allowed to head the "talks."

At least she is an elected MP of the people, unlike Ms Sturgeon, who is in the Scottish Assembly because she is the leader of the SNP.

It doesn't matter when the A50 vote takes place....the High Court ruling says that it must happen, whenever that is.

All that could be hoped for in a delay, is that some people might change sides in the debate, which could of course, be possible.

You are conflating two separate issues, of Mrs May and Sturgeon. Sturgeon's job is to represent Scotland's case to Mrs May, which she is doing rather well !

Sturgeon is not in the Scottish Parliament because she is leader of the SNP, she was an MSP before she was leader of the SNP.
