1a is not "insomnia" and no, the across answers are not all "straight".

Well, that's puzzled me as well. In Mamya's link to the crossword, there isn't a 1 across (do we mean 1d?)

I think the OP meant the first Across answer - that could have been 'insomnia', but isn't!

Perhaps we're dealing with 8a because I can 'see' where a possible answer (although incorrect) of 'insomnia comes from.

I am having trouble getting onto the box on the website where I usually just insert Genius or Guardian, it is missing. I have used this website many times before perhaps it is just my PC. Sorry to have bothered you all.
