Reasons To Be Cheerful Today

1) I survived the night no sugar rises and no drops - go me!
2) I’ve coped well with the loss of Molly
3) I’ve completed all the things I wanted to this week
4) There was no shoplifting this week and I’ve got over the ordeal of that from last week
5) I feel a bit more motivated today and
6) I get my hair done tomorrow - yay!

1. It's my husband's birthday and we're going out shortly in search of a country pub for a nice lunch (with wine).

2. 6 years ago today I had a serious head-on collision in my car, just one week after losing my cherished nan and just 5 days before finding out my fiancé was having a dirty affair. When I look at where I am now - and, more importantly, who I'm with - I can't help but feel like a winner.

3. In laws are coming round for drinks later.

4. My house is immaculate, my fridge and freezers are full and I have no debt.

5. OH is off to see Rolling Stones tomorrow night so I have the place to myself.

6. I'm fit and healthy.

7. My baby sleeps like there's no tomorrow.

8. I just found two chocolate mints in my evening bag from our meal out last night.

9. Son's teething gel has numbed my mouth ulcer.

10. I've got a whole new wardrobe to go back to work in at the end of September.

In the glorious sunshine in a beautiful old garden drinking virgin mohito.
Had no access to clothes other than yesterday’s so I had a little shopping spree.
The bath towel was huge enough to wear when the hotel was evacuated in the middle of the night.

Now I have a wonderful mental image of him whipping out his 9 iron on the 12th hole to find a pair of his wife's lacy smalls dangling off the end.

Had one of my few remaining teeth removed this morning. It was very painful and beyond saving.
I know going to the dentist doesn't seem an obvious reason to be cheerful but that tooth was a nagging nuisance for a long time

It's national Fish n' Chip day, only found out after just having some for dinner.
I never seem to get bitten by Mossies even abroad.

I'm going to open the wine soon. At least if any bite me tonight they'll kill themselves trying to fly.

I took the grandchildren's dog for a long walk this morning. My son, daughter and grandchildren are coming for tea. It's lovely to have the family together.

This made me laugh. I now have a shady spot to sit in so I'm outside finishing some work. I cant concentrate because of the noise - pigeons are doing rudies 2 lots in next doors trees, one lot in the apple tree and another lot on the barn roof!!!!

I suppose at least when I mutter "******* pigeons, I'll be right.
