why do food manufacturers assume that everyone has a microwave, I nearly bought a ready meal last week because i wanted to save time after being out all day but it was microwave only not oven cook
i only use mine for sterilising baby bottles or using the timer function to time something in the real oven. I can't think of the lastt ime i used it for anything else
Scrambled eggs are brilliant in the microwave and there's no yucky pan to wash up. Couldn't survive without mine for de-frosting, re-heating, making sauces/gravy etc etc. I never buy ready meals - my "quick and easy" is home-cooked food retrieved from the freezer and dealt with in the microwave.
Scrambled eggs should only be done in a frying pan or in a hob pan. In a frying pan do like a normal fried egg, yet just mash it all up, in a hob, put in some milk (tiny bit) a bit of pepper, some eggs then stir till scrambled.
I’m with diddly on the microwaved scrambled eggs, in fact that’s what we had last night.
I wouldn’t be without my fairly cheap microwave, I use it probably every day, not for actual cooking but for reheating, defrosting, doing frozen peas, sauces, lots of things.
