Walking behind a lady, I was admiring her very beautiful coat.
There was an obvious vent/flap in the centre behind her knees.
There seemed to be stitches at the bottom of this so it wasn’t actually flapping just gaping.
Is one supposed to remove the stitch....why is it there?
Thank you

I had an amusing incident whilst trying on an anorak on a market stall; I stuck my hand in the pocket and found a cheque book. I showed it to the stall holder and it turned out his son had been using it, got caught with a sudden shower and stuffed it into the nearest coat pocket on his stall to keep it dry. That had been weeks before and he'd wondered where it had gone.
