I thought I was pretty familiar with word processing packages on laptops and computers but I've come across a problem with no obvious answer on a Samsung Android tablet.

I've installed Office on the tablet via the Microsoft multiple installation facility that goes with my Office package. I've created a 12 line paragraph on a Word document on the android device and I need to copy it into a text box on a webpage. I've highlighted the document and clicked on copy amongst the options that appear, but when I try to paste it into the webpage text box, the paste option does not appear. I've done this so many times on laptops and desktops and I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong.

Any ideas please?

Your post is a bit ambiguous: have you highlighted the document, or the text within the document?
This text was copied and pasted from MS Word for Android.

I don't understand the difference The Chair: when I click on copy on the toolbar that appears after I tap the screen, the all the text is highlighted. From there I go to the webpage I want to paste it into but no matter how much I tap, no toolbar appears and therefore no paste option.

That is tapping on the text on the screen.
In that case, I can only suggests that the problem lies with the web site rather than with Word. Why not try typing a short sentence on Word and see if you can copy and paste it as an answer in this thread?

Ok I'll try that. Thank you.
