I have been having laser hair removal done on my face and neck for a few years. The hair was dense and the growth strong to begin with and it is almost all gone now. I just need periodic treatments.
However I have a lot of light coloured hairs that will do not get treated by the machine that my salon uses.
Does anybody know what makes of machines treat blond hairs? All I need is a couple of treatments.
I have tried searching on Google but have been unable to find out this information.
beryllium you are right in that the lasers work best on dark hair. But a few of them also work on light hair - I have read about them in the past, but didn't take note of which laser type.
I will read the article that you gave the link for. I tried Google too - you would be there forever. It is a great treatment, but hurts like hell and costs a lot of money. But for somebody with excess hair growth that is bad it is a brilliant treatment - and it DOES work.
I have considered laser for legs instead of waxing, but I don't think my pain threshold can stand it lol....
It's like elastic bands snapping??? on the skin yes?
Does sound like you've had an excellent result though, so maybe the jurys still out for me on deciding :)
Best o' luck on your searches for that elusive laser.....
I had it on my legs and it was not nearly as painful as on the face. Check that the salon has a larger nozzle thingy on the machine and a cooling fan on the machine - it cools the skin. Get a 15 minute treatment at first to see how it goes.
Bes of luck - I was thinking of getting my long hair cat treated once to cut down on the amount of hair on the carpets - I think we would need to knock her out first. :-)
