Time For The Truth From Hancock
72 Answers
Why doesn't Matt Hancock give up with the lies and deceit.
They never had the protective equipment, do not have it now and never will have it.
TV this morning has been a series of medical staff from the lowest position to the highest saying they do not have protection.
They say their colleagues are dying and they are being pressurised to enter virus areas without adequate protection.
The head of Nursing say they have lost trust in the Government and Hancock replies that he does not think she means that.
Asked about the numbers of NHS staff dead or seriously ill he says it can't be proved they contacted it at work!
He says 19 dead staff so far. FOr Gods sake tell people the truth or get out of the job.

I thought it was a tad - maladroit [my sir hymphrey persona showing froo there ] and was not surprised that Priti took his place
// He says 19 dead staff so far.//
and I thought o god he is gonna say they got it darn the local pub or chippied
and then he said " it is not certain of course they got it at work ...."
a bad 45s - for him as well !

We could do with some independent reliable stats- eg what proportion of the time do staff have the required PPE when they need it compared with not having it when they need it. Clearly they do have it most of the time but is it 75% (not good enough)? 90% (still not good enough), or 99%.(approaching acceptable but really 100% should be the aim). Clearly wer not near enough to 100% but how short are we?
At the moment there is no clarity- critics give the impression there are significant shortfalls, Hancock etc claim they are providing record numbers, ramping it up, rolling out a plan, etc.
