Glad I could help. There seems to be a couple of spellings, but I think I chose the correct one.

Which letters to put in the 3 blank cells?
I have done everything else required....

Also ...should the unchecked letters be nice cantoN in rhyme ..otherwise there aren't enough...?

The last letters of extra words suggest where to look for the straight lines part (so a bit of research if you haven't read it).

...if it's the 'crooked lines' you mean then my order is - 5th first, 1st second and 6th last (their initial letters go in the blanks).

Thanks Prof ...used one of the Ns in the mouse and it wasn't unchecked!
I have drawn in the 8 lines but don't know how to draw in the 3 crooked ones and fill in the blanks...?

I've put M in the last blank "for the 6th" but unsure of the other 2 ...the 5th is already in the bottom corner ??

I don't have any of them upside-down, so I'd avoid starting on the bottom line.
