NO! You won't see that headline, but a charity is asking for £28.22 to help the homeless, just as I was watching a programme about the Royals at Christmas.
Two hundred staff looking after their Christmas break, lots of Dubonnet and gin being drunk, and masses of food from Fortnum & Mason.
In a word, disgraceful.
The ballroom alone would house all of the homeless in the Capital.
But wouldn't it be a great gesture if the Royals came down out of their ivory towers and really helped real people with real problems.

//I sometimes worry that The Queen might not be able to manage with only four palaces. //

Occupied Royal Palaces, such as Buckingham Palace, are not the private property of The Queen. They are occupied by the Sovereign and held in trust by Crown Estates for future generations. If that sticks in your throat, then vote for the party that has pledged to sell off the royal palaces.

oh, wait.......
Off with their heads.

I did suggest to MrsT doing something like that but she felt unsafe.
I'm game though.

Fancy calling me sour. That hurt. I'm a monarchist but a realist.
You come across as very bitter
Theland - Are you aware of just how many charities different members of the Royal family are involved in one way or another? It is 3,000! Too many to go into details . Just to mention a couple that deal with homeless people. William became involved with Centrepoint in 2005 and he became the Patron of the UK's largest Resource Centre for the homeless in 2019. That centre has helped thousands of homeless people over the years. Just because the Royals are not always spouting about what they do doesn't mean they don't help the homeless.
The Royals won't be at Sandringham this Christmas. Each family will be spending Christmas in their own home.
