Had my 89 yr old sister on the phone in tears can’t get through to my 63 yr old niece who lives alone for two days either on landline or mobile, I tried ( same) my friend works as a dispatcher for Northumbria Police and was working from home, she did a hospital check and niece is in our local hospital where they’re getting her blood sugars sorted, she had no mobile with her to tell anyone and is worried about her cat , relief has flooded through me and my sister is calmer so me and my daughter will get the spare key off my sister and go and feed thd cat …..and it’s not even 12-30 , phew !

Thanks Mamya, it all sounds so much of an emergency, my sister last rang her was Sunday and was able to chat then
Bobbs - it's good your niece got into hospital quickly as that is a very high score for blood sugars. I take it that she has diabetes.

One my nephews was up a few weeks ago and he read of his libre 22 - but he always says he never feels any different.
sorry Bobbs - missed you saying she was Type 2.

The police have just rang me, I had rang 111 before speaking to my friend to ask what we should do, I explained the situation ( just as well) they’d been to her flat and broke the door down to get in and we’re going to put her down as a missing person , they’ve changed the locks so I’m waiting of him coming here with the new key for us to get in tonight , cat is fine too
such relief
Hope your niece has a speedy recovery, Bobbi x

Hope the cat is ok too.

And my niece? ;0))
You have to wonder how stupid the police are - it used to be common procedure to phone round the local hospitals in cases like this before breaking down doors.
