morning, Wednesday already, the week is going fast. I hope that you are all in good health, and that your day is a pleasant one, I am posting earlier than normal as i can't get back to sleep.

sorry to hear this Lady J - Morning by the way....how big a hole? Eunice or Franklin as up here the latter was stronger...Eunice delivered one surprise with snow for 20 minutes around 3pm and driving in hard on the wind.

So glad I had candles, matches and small torch handy as well as a power cut didn't help. Do feel so sorry for people who lost power for days and weeks on end. At least mine was only for 24 hrs or so.

what worries me about any power cuts is the fridge freezer going on the blink, all that food possibly wasted.

Don't open doors and when you do open them for the minimum amount of time and nothing should be lost. Both take quite a while to reach room temperature so just be sensible about it.

luckily we have never had a power cut, though i did have a fridge/freezer malfunction, but the company did deliver a new one the next day so no foodstuffs were lost.

hopefully you won't get any further outages.

That's good emmie. We often get quite short cuts so that's not a problem.
