Love sitting in the sun. Even better when abroad and have waiter service to bring the cool drinks. We often sit outside with family either having BBQ and a few drinks. Spent Saturday afternoon outside pub at the beach listening to a couple of tribute acts with a few ciders to help keep cool.
Our neighbour over the fence has solved the gull and pigeon problem round here by installing a bird scarer in the shape of a large hawk on a long flexible pole.
Now if he can just arrange some of this hot, sunny weather the us frozen northerners hear about endlessly on the news down in that England I'll be able to give a fuller answer to the question.
I just can't sit in the garden happily. I used to garden a lot so spent a lot of time out there. We have a huge garden. Since not being able to garden I get frustrated because I can't do anything and see things that need doing. Used to love being out there working. It was so relaxing. I could never read in the garden. But I could hide away from the world in my bit of heaven. I'm not a misery just because I don't like sitting in sunshine. I love the Spring. But hate July and August. Roll on September.
I rarely get a proper tan...too much effort and risk of burning. So instead get sun kissed. Don't like sand or beaches. I try to get just enough sun for my vitamin D.
We made the most of it this year Bobbi. Though OH got bitten a lot in Spain and had bad reaction to them. Put out the thermometer in garden today and it reached the 100 lovely jubbly. Bit of a suntrap. I only have to be in the sun for a short time and I get good tan.
I quite like sitting out on a lovely sunny day, but it has to be in the shade which can be really pleasant, especially with a long cool drink to hand. I have sunbathed on holiday in my younger days, but far prefer to see the sights now - OR sit in the shade ! Each to their own.
