Knighthoods ??

I see that Brian May has just received a knighthood - just wondering if anybody else thinks like me and feels that are more deserving people out there who deserve a knighthood ?? I don't wish to start an argument, just putting my opinion out there !!

The Mandarins said that British Nobels were not automatically knighted because - - - up to half said, no thanks, a Nobel is quite prize enough
so of course they award it to themselves a lot

I believe the honours system to be a farcical and corrupt mess that should be abolished. Yes I can understand that achieving something of benefit to many should be recognised, but not when it’s done by virtue signalling moneybags for “look at me , look at me” reasons. If they can take one away from jeffery archer , then they can take one away from Tony Bliar. Of course they would not have to if they had abolished it. Long overdue . One good thing Boris did was to expose the rotten honours system for what it is, by awarding a knighthood to his dad . Perhaps the death knell will come when they award one to G .L.
