It is true that the site is biased but as best i can tell it is quite correct… re-joining was a long shot before this happened and imo a terrible idea anyway but it truly is impossible now i am pleased that the uk has joined CPTPP it was by far our best option… if the USA joins it in the future then that’ll be an excellent result and we’ll get back about to where we were… i...

not saying it's wrong but surely that is a biased website?
Yup, that 0.08% increase in the economy over the next fifteen year is definitely a game changer!
Do you think it will stop there, corby?
That 0.08% estimate is over the next fifteen year so if the experts cannot give a figure beyond that period, how can I be expected to guess whether it would be higher or lower in a longer period?

There could be any number of scenarios affecting our economy in that period and to believe this deal makes Brexit permanent is ridiculous.
Brexit is no more irreversible than was joining in the first place.
Corby, //There could be any number of scenarios affecting our economy //

That was the point I was making. That 0.08% over 15 years you mention might not prove to be entirely accurate. ;o)
NAOMI, do you believe the deal makes Brexit permanent?

Yes,this Brexity thingy was a bit of a bad decision over all.Even the majority SNP voters up here in Scotland who voted for Brexit are now regretting their choice.English Tory voters voted for Brexit,Scottish SNP voters voted for Brexit.A plague on both their houses.
Oh it’s 0.8%!!!!

I’d *genuinely* read that wrong yesterday and thought “Fairly play, that’s about a quarter of what we’ve lost he leaving the EU, so perhaps thing aren’t looking so bad after all”.

But that was me reading 0.8% instead of 0.08%.

That’s ridiculous.

Instead of talking about “remoaners’s tears” we should be referring to “leavers’ brains”.
We went through a democratic process. We should not be perusing a goal of rejoining the EU. We’ve made our bed and now we have to make the best of it.

In the same way that we look back on those that fought the Second World War as the Greatest Generation, future generations of Brits may very well look back and rename Boomers to Spanners.
Don't know how significant it is but if it helps to secure our freedom and independence I'm very pleased.

Freedom and independence - excellent.

Which EU laws and regulations were you think of?
//...and we’ll get back about to where we were//

No we won't. We will still no longer be a member of the European Union. That's the advantage of Brexit and long may it remain.
sp1814 - I wasn't thinking of any particular laws, just the freedom and independence to make our own.
yeah sort of like joining the common market was.
I see.....very interesting ( thx to Rowan n Martin)
That's the advantage of Brexit and long may it remain. (NJ)
what advantage is there to being £2000 per head poorer directly as a result of brexit?

oh - I see, you arent, so everything is cool. thanks

(direct appeal to politics of envy)
april fool april fool
chrissakes it was a joke
TCL - do you have any evidence or proof?

(Sorry, I can't help it - as TCL asks for proof or evidence on pretty much every thread he posts on, I can't help it).
Yes.
