It might actually feel warm. 14° here...but heavy rain and gusts up to 63mph. It woke me several times over night.

How is it where you are...worse and with snow?

No wind, but a good few inches of snow which has been turning to yucky slush for a few hours thanks to the rain.

It's 'orrible!

Question Author

Hopefully that slush won't freeze over...that's worse than snow,

Light breeze, ominous sky.  Had an hour of snow the other day, didn't settle.

Wet & windy.

Very dark, pouring with rain and very very windy!  Not nice at all. Was mean to be about 14 degrees here today too but it's only about 8.

Woken in the night as a large chunk of the remaining snow slid of the roof at the front of my house.  Mild now, but filthy dismal squally rain.  I think I prefer the sunny cold :)

Have exactly the same as you Pasta, heavy plant pot with large plant blown over.  The pegs, I left on the line yesterday when I got the washing in in a rush are now all over the garden.  No snow since 10 minute flurry Thursday.

West Yorkshire. Got up at 7.00 a.m. to see heavy snowfall. Plenty of snow already lying on ground. I can't provide the temperature, but it was jolly cold when I later went out to get a morning paper. Now we're having rain, which has washed most of the snow away. At the supermarket, I saw some young men in T-shirts and shorts! They must be very fit!

Don't understand the 'men in shorts' thing.  Saw two as I walked from my car to the supermarket on one of the coldest days last week.

How warm must their houses be?

I passed a man in shorts and flip-flops yesterday. Had to restrain myself from asking what on earth he thought he was was doing.

Very wet and windy....back home curled up on sofa trying to stay awake

The posties are always in shorts here...not sure about today though.

I opened my curtains a bit this morning, but I think I'll go back to sitting in the dark. Wind is coming from the west and everything is rattling. Brrrrrr...😶‍🌫️🌪

I'm in West Yorkshire and woke to a thick covering of snow. We've had heavy rain since about 10.30 so the snow is melting. I've been out dog walking and it was really unpleasant. A mixture of puddles and slushy snow.
