I don't need to disabuse you of your beliefs, indeed, I am pretty certain that I wouldn't be able to...
However, no-one has ever, or will ever, change sex and our language needs to reflect that.
Women are adult human females and only those satisfying those descriptors should be occupying womens' place/spaces/races.
I'm not asking whether or not you think people can change sex... i already know the answer to that.
i want to know what these research papers were which led you to the conclusion that "the majority of FtM transitions are women who are autistic or have been sexually abused" and that "The majority of MtF transitions are porn-soaked men who have managed to drive themselves sexually-insane"
whether or not you like me personally is irrelevant... it's not an unreasonable thing to ask
Untitled: "I'm not asking whether or not you think people can change sex... i already know the answer to that. "
so can you clarify. Do you accept that:
JTH: "However, no-one has ever, or will ever, change sex and our language needs to reflect that."
and are merely challenging this assertion:
JTH: "the majority of FtM transitions are women who are autistic or have been sexually abused" and that "The majority of MtF transitions are porn-soaked men who have managed to drive themselves sexually-insane"
Thanks
I don't think I'd want to claim that it will never be the case that someone can change sex during their lifetime. "Never" relates to a very long time, and much that was thought impossible in the past is now commonplace.
Imagine a medical procedure whereby an individual somehow, gets immersed is some transition environment, all instances of, for example, XX chromosomes, cells, genes, etc. are manipulated, edited, whatever, to be XY etc.. Where organs specific to one sex are either manipulated to become the corresponding organs of the other, or perhaps broken down and replaced with new organs built from the newly created stem cells during the earlier conversion. The result would then be an individual who has transitioned to truly be indistinguishable from someone born naturally as that sex.
Of course they won't have had the same life experiences up to that point, we all have different experiences; but if we could do the above to the body whose to say that memory erasing, and false memories insertion, can't reprogram the brain too ? (Mind you it may have been easier to reprogram the brain instead of starting with the body instead, if science had got that far.)
