It is said that hundreds(or is it thousands) of letters are un-delivered by Surface Mail.(Post Office etc.)

Does the same apply to E/mails; without any indication being given to the sender.?

Well e-mails are not delivered, you have to collect them, so it's quite likely that millions never reach their destinations.

There guaranteed way for a sender to know whether or not an e-mail has been collected by the intended recipient.
Sorry, that should say "there is no guaranteed..."

Thanks rojash I appreciate your response.

It does seem that there is not any positive way to ensure that messages reach their intended destinations.

Even telephones are now answered by machines and one can't be sure that one's message is actually being recorded.

Best wishes.......Ron.
