Are we talking steel or wood (SIPS)?

These are called SIPS. They are delivered to site with the insulation already fitted at the factory which saves time on site. There are made to a high degree of tolerance and are thus more likely to be true / square.

The downside is that they are a bit more expensive, so any money you save on labour on site is spent in extra frame costs.

Fitting electrical cables and pipes can be difficult with SIPs as the cavity that is present with a conventional timber frame panel is closed. Therefore cables cannot be hidden without either breaking into the panel, or creating a cavity by attaching wooden battens to the internal leaf which the plasterboard is then fixed to.

These type of houses seem to be springing up everywhere.

Do you think they'll last as long as bricks built houses?
