Just listening to news on radio 4 which started with Gordon Brown's(on no, stopped listening then) until the reader said " internment leading to grave circumstances" yes it would do! Do you think we'd listen closer if the news was more fun?
I think you're in need of a good dictionary, so that you can look up the difference between 'internment' and 'interment' ;-)
I find the the best quotes seem to come from sports' commentators. My favourite has to be the (possibly apocryphal) cricket commentary: "The batsman's Holding. The bowler's Willy".
However, I'm still trying to get my head round what I heard Geoff Boycott say about Kevin Pietersen a few months ago: "He thinks he's better than he is - and I agree with him"
It's not a funny subject, but Today FM here in Ireland had a news report last week about a boy that had run away in the midlands, and reckoned he was "1.5cm tall". In fairness, he could be hiding anywhere.
Jimmy Hill was asked to predict the score in a world cup match, his answer had us Scotland fans in stitches, it was "only a fool would try and say what the outcome of this match will be, I think it will be 1-1"
