Thats not a tail and back legs in the second picture, thats the poor wee things nose! You'd think after loosing a cat and a guinea pig already they would have been a bit more careful with the dog. I can't believe they took pictures

I always thought that a constrictor would crush its prey before eating it? I can't see a dog waiting around while a python takes its own sweet time gettng the dog past its mouth into its stomach.

I do find the notion of taking photos at different stages rather biazarre - will he do that if the python does get hold of one of his family?

Actually, on David Attenborough's 'Life In Cold Blood' the other day, you saw a boa constrictor (or perhaps a python) who'd captured and was eating a whole deer.

It took it about five hours and David said that afterwards, the snake wouldn't have to eat for about a year.

Yep...I have no idea how they manage to capture their prey...but they do!
